We`re at your service:

  • Advice on all questions concerning fertility
  • Gynaecological and andrological fertility diagnostics

  • Endometriosis consulting hours
  • HSG Hysterosalpingokontrastsonografie / sonographic fallopian tube presentation (more information here)

The permeability of the fallopian tubes is an essential requirement for pregnancy because it is the place where the sperm and the ovum meet and fertilization takes place. Preliminary operations, infections in the hypogastrium e.g. in the appendix or ovaries and endometriosis can harm the fallopian tube. This can result in adhesions which might lead to unpermeable fallopian tubes.

To determine the penrmeability it is possible to perform laparoscopy or Hysterosalpingokontrastsonografie (HSG).
The HSG is a special ultrasound scan in which a thin catheter is inserted into the uterine cavity that washes approximately 1-2ml of  contrast fluid in. The drainige of the fluid in the fallopian tube can be observed in the following examination. The examination takes about 10-15 minutes. It is no more painful than any ordinary gynaecological examination within the scope of cancer prevention at your gynaecologist. You are able to leave the clinic directly afterwards and continue your everyday buisness as per usual. We prefer to advise a laprascopy to women with stronger menstrual pains, chronic lower abdominal pain or bigger preliminary operations because for example adhesions or the moveability of the fallopian tube cannot be sufficiently recognised.

Speak to us to find out if this examination could be an alternative to a laprascopy for you.

  • Hysteroscopy (outpatient uterine endoscopy)
  • Ejaculation analysis and sperm preparation
  • Determination of the fragmentation index of sperm (SDI-test) (more information here)

Usage of a new test in fertility therapy.
A high percentage of sperm cells with fragmentations in their genetic material lowers chances of getting pregnant in the natural way. Success rates of treatment methods in the 'desire to have children' therapy depend on the fragmentation rate in the sperm cells.

With the help of SDI one can determine the fragmentation rate of the sperm cells through a simple ejaculation analysis. Our clinic has successfully cooperated with the SPZ Lab in Copenhagen (Denmark) (www.spzlab.com) since October 2010 and offers this test exclusively as the only fertility centre in Schleswig Holstein.

We want to allow our patients the opportunity to decide which therapy is best suited for them at the beginning of fertility therapy. By doing it in this way, we can avoid long-term treatments.

Unfortunately the costs of the SDI-test are not covered by German health insurance. In Sweden this test is a requirement before undertaking any therapy.
Costs: Sperm analysis, transportation and analysis in Denmark and transfer of the results in the clinic by Dr. Brandenburg / Dr. Carstensen: € 385,-

  • Homologous and heterologous insemination
  • In vitro fertilization (IVF)
  • Mild IVF (more information here)

Costs can be reduced through dose reduction and the usage of Clomiphencitrate. This method is unfortunately not suitable for every patient.

  • IVM (Due to low pregnancy rates we no longer offer IVM)
  • Intracytoplastic sperm injection (ICSI)
  • Cryopreservation of oocytes, oocytes in the pronucleous stage, sperm and testicle tissue
  • Production and intracytoplastic injection of sperm from cryopreserved testicle tissue
  • Assisted hatching

We engage ourselves solely with established methods and therefore have respectively high "baby-take home-rates".
